Service Learning

Service Learning

In the Middle Years Programme, service as action is where classroom curiosity meets real-world kindness. Students take ownership and act wisely to help the community around them become a better place. Students and teachers work together purposefully to integrate action into everyday lessons. For example, in a unit on sustainable design, the students will build compost bins for the school garden. Students first listen and empathize, then plan, act, and keep reflecting on what worked, how they grew, and what the impact was. By turning knowledge into hands-on help, they discover that their ideas can genuinely make a difference.
