IB Career-related Programme (CP)

IBCP Programme Synopsis

The International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP) combines academic rigour with career-focused learning, preparing students for university, employment, and the modern global workplace. Through a blend of IB Diploma courses and industry-focused BTEC qualifications, students experience a flexible and personalised pathway tailored to their strengths, interests, and future ambitions.

Student voice and choice are central to the programme. Learners can help shape optional BTEC units and creatively present their work through podcasts, interviews, presentations, documentaries, YouTube channels, and digital projects, developing real-world communication and digital skills.

The strong vocational element of the IBCP provides valuable hands-on learning through internships, work experience, enterprise projects, and employer engagement opportunities. These experiences help students build confidence, professionalism, and career-ready skills.

At the heart of the programme is the CP Core, which develops personal and professional skills including leadership, collaboration, critical thinking, reflection, and intercultural understanding, while embedding the IB Learner Profile and ATL skills throughout the learning journey.

The IBCP is more than a qualification — it is a future-focused pathway that empowers students to become confident, skilled, and globally minded learners.

AGS is proud to be the only IB Continuum School in Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, offering students a seamless and internationally recognised IB education pathway.
